Letter #3: ¡Feliz Navidad!

Hola (that’s Spanish for Hello)!

Christmas Eve Gift everybody!

Christmas Eve is actually called Noche Buena here in Mexico, which is what they call poinsettia’s which they have everywhere around the CCM (CCM stands for Centro de Capacitacion Misional which is the name of the MTC in Mexico).

Hey guys, they moved my P-day to today because tomorrow is going to packed with activities. And thanks for the new package!!! The Krispy Kreme donuts tasted out of this world. It was like my taste buds were taken to magical world of awesomeness. Thank you so much.

Today it is raining. It is so wonderful.

I have some bad news. Elder P went home a couple days ago. He was feeling super homesick and there was a lot going on at his home. Keep him in your prayers. Also keep Elder S1 and Elder S2 in your prayers, they are also feeling kinda homesick. Don’t worry, I’m not homesick, I love being here and don’t want to change it for anything.

Life here is pretty great. I have been surviving off of these amazing cookies in the store. They are called Choki’s. They are like Chips Ahoy but taste better, and they are super cheap!

I also survive off the unlimited cereal that they give us, I always get this weird cereal that is like a mix between Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Pebbles. Also the Froot Loops are great but super sugary.

Tuesday night is Costco pizza night, and that is the one meal that I eat more than anyone else. For some reason it just tastes so good. Probably because it is authentic American food unlike the other food which is Mexico’s attempt to make American food.

So far all the Christmas festivities have been superb. We had a great devotional on Sunday, and then we had a live broadcast on Tuesday from the Provo MTC and the Presiding Bishop will speak.

My district is now the oldest in our zone. The guys who just left were great, and there was a sister from Pima, Arizona and she said she knew a bunch of our family. That was pretty cool.

The two younger districts are also pretty cool. We challenged them to games of volleyball and we actually got crushed. I wish we would play more sports but on P-days and during gym time all the other Elders just want to nap/sleep :/ but all is well.

I love all the guys in our district and each one is so interesting. Elder F is crazy on the piano, he can play anything and he creates his own arrangements and writes his own music. He is amazing. Elder P is hilarious, we basically just quote Bob Esponja (SpongeBob) all day it is great. Elder S1 just makes everyone laugh he is awesome. and Elder S2 tells awesome stories about crazy skiing and hunting stories he has.

I hope you guys have a great Christmas because I know I will. I love you all so much.

¡Feliz Navidad!

With love,

Elder Matthew Bryce

P.S. These keyboards they have here are super weird with a lot of extra buttons and stuff: ñ¿¡áßðéáåúíópµçá
