Letter #2: Second Email!

Hola (that’s Spanish for Hello)!

Que le Pasa, Calabaza!

It is great to hear from all y’all. I am loving it here. There is so much I want to write but so little time. The first week felt like an eternity but now I feel like I am hitting my stride. The past week flew by like a day. It feels like weeks are days and days are weeks.

The people here are sooooo awesome. My teacher in the mornings is Hermana S. She is super, super, super, short. She is a fantastic teacher and basically like a Mom to all of us. At night we have two teachers, Hermano O, and Hermano G. Hermano O is really funny and Hermano G was our first investigator we had to teach. They are great. There is also this other teacher from another class that comes in and helps us named Hermano H. He looks like a guy from a Spanish soap opera, with slicked back hair. He always comes in and gives us shoulder rubs and tells us “Don’t Cheat Me” or he says “all is well in Zion” He is hilarious. He is a big Bayern Munich fan, and he saw me wearing my Dortmund jersey so he always sings Bayern Munich chants and songs when he is around me. He occasionally gives me soccer updates (since someone isn’t cough cough nudge nudge).

Bad news… The Mexico City Temple is closed until like June so we won’t be able to go through but we still get to go to the visitors center.

That package you sent me (via http://www.missionarypackagemx.com) was interesting… all the Mexican candy is covered in chili powder so it kinda tastes nasty, and the cookies had peanuts in them so I gave those away. But the soda’s and the chips were great. (If you want to send me another one… maybe something like donuts or root beer.)

Today in P-day me and Elder P played cage soccer with some other guys, while the rest of the zone took a nap or watched. I scored a goal that was pretty snazzy. I was at the halfway line and curled it in.

My Spanish is coming together. It was really hard at first but with God on our side anything is possible.

I have seen 4 people that I knew from Orem High: Hermana F, Elder H, Elder C and some other guy whose name I can’t quite remember.

My health is great, my blood sugar is great, and I can really feel the prayers that y’all offer for me and my health and I know that Heavenly Father is watching over me and helping me out, especially with my health.

Regarding your letters:

  • Tim – Congrats for your awesome bowling skills. I challenge you to a game in a couple of years.
  • Mom – All the elders in my district are going to Long Beach and about five other guys who came in at the same time. It is crazy. 11 of us going to Cali!!
  • Chris – That stinks that you miss their album by two weeks. That’s kinda how I feel about the Hobbit movie.
  • Dad – I am really craving some chocolate orange fudge. But I’m glad you can enjoy the peanut butter.

I will talk more with you guys next week on Christmas Day! I will call around 2 o’clock my time, which I think is 1 o’clock your time.

Merry Christmas!

With love,

Elder Bryce
