Letter #14: Crazy Week!

HEYYYY!!!

Happy Saint Patrick’s day!!!

Mom, I want you to stop freaking out because this letter didn’t come on Monday, but here it is.

This letter is coming in on a Tuesday, because once every other transfer we get to go to the LA Temple… And today is that day. Sorry I didn’t warn you last week but I kinda forgot. Today has been a long day, we had to wake up at 3:00 in the morning to get a ride from a member to go to the temple. His name is Hermano G_______. He is this super cool member who is super buff. He is the ward mission leader and is awesome, and he lives by the beach which is pretty neat… It was crazy driving through LA and then the LA Temple is huge and beautiful. I will send you a bunch of pictures! And on the way back from the temple we stopped by Denny’s and boy, their waffles are delish!

This week has been crazy. Earlier in the week we helped three elders (they are in a trio) move into a new apartment. They were in the smallest apartment in the mission and one of them was forced to sleep on a mattress in the kitchen and once the mission office found out, they moved them immediately into a new apartment. It was a long day spent cleaning and moving…

Also during the week, we went on exchanges and the Elder I was with was just told by the nurses that he couldn’t walk on his foot and so we spent the entire exchange inside and it was super boring. It made me want to work even harder when I got back to my normal companion.

On Sunday, I had to speak in Sacrament and I was super nervous… but it only had to be five minutes and ended up turning out really well so well that the members think I am fluent and now come up to me all the time and talk super fast to me and I have no idea of what they are saying sometimes… haha… but my Spanish is coming together, poco a poco, little by little.

So we had one of the healthiest dinners that I have ever had so far out here… A lady in the ward gave us this super strange grain soup, and then this green drink which tasted straight up like water and grass. Then she gave us this salad which I am pretty sure she just took a bunch of plants from her garden and threw them together for a salad. It was the most interesting dinner I have ever eaten and was way too healthy…

We found several really cool investigators last week so I am so excited to teach them this week. We also got another less active member back and coming to church!

This gospel is just awesome and I love being a missionary. I love all y’all back home and you will always be in my prayers.

Have a great week!

Elder Bryce
