Letter #22: Feliz Dia de Las Madres!!!!

Hola!!!

Happy Mothers Day Mom! I actually think I totally forgot to actually say that when I was skyping yall. But that Skype call was fun… I was actually super nervous beforehand for who knows what reason, but once I saw you guys I just got so happy. I loved talking with you and it has motivated me to get back to work and work even harder than before.

This week has been interesting. I went on exchanges with Elder Perez. We were buddy’s from the MTC and have both been here for the same amount of time… So both of our Spanish is slowly coming together but not perfect yet. But we had a lesson with a lady who spoke no english. We were both super nervous but beforehand we prayed and asked for special help to teach and understand this lady. During the lesson we taught we shared a little about how the gospel blesses families and brings us closer together as families. It was a great lesson but I only understood half of everything she said and Elder Perez understood the other half, so together we were able to put together what she was saying. It was a great opportunity and we had to put our trust in the Lord. I felt the Spirit super strongly. I love experiences like that.

But this week has just gone by so fast. and I really don’t have much to write about that I didn’t already tell you about in the Skype call.

I love you all. I love serving the Lord and I love learning more and more every day that helps me continue to draw me closer to the Lord. This week I learned that I can’t do this all on my own. I learned that I need to trust in the Lord, give everything I got, and trust and work with my companion so we can best help bring souls unto Christ. You can compare it to a bridge that goes over a deep canyon. Like one of those rope ones you see in the movies. I can build my half of the bridge for my investigators but it will be scary for them. They would only have one side to hold on to and the path would be narrow. But if both of us work together, we could make a bridge that it the most secure for them to cross.

This analogy sounds great in my head and I could draw a picture of it which would make more sense but this would have to do. Sorry. My thoughts are pretty scattered right now.

I love you all (especially you Mom)! Sorry about not saying happy Mothers day yesterday haha!

I hope you all have a great week!

With Love,
Elder Bryce
