Letter #42: Crazy Week!

This week felt like it was forever long. I don’t know why it felt so long but oh well. This was a great week though. I have grown a ton and learned a lot. Which was good. It was also quite a fun week.

So where to start. Oh so every Wednesday we have district meeting and we gather as a zone before and after. And after we did the habanero challenge. It was intense. I am not good when it comes to spicy foods. Taco Bell mild sauce makes me sweat. It is bad. But I did it for the people. I have never cried so much on the mission. We hit up Wendy’s afterwards and man… Frostys have never been soooooooo good. Heaven on Earth. Pure Celestial Kingdom.

I also baked a cake for some of our recent converts. It was fun.

We have picked up a bunch of youth investigators this past week. It is fun. I like teaching young people. They actually listen. haha. It is really cool. We picked up this kid named A________. He is really cool. He wants to do good in the world but doesn’t know how. So he is cool and when we went by for the second time (he wasn’t home but his mom answers the door and just tells us she has tamales for us. Pretty awesome.

Then we saw this crazy blood red moon eclipse thingy that was crazy. People were freaking out about it. haha it was pretty cool.

Then we picked up this investigator. The other missionaries contacted him on the street and apparently he just broke down and started crying to them. Then they told us to go talk to him and he is interesting. He is from a drug cartel in Mexico… He is into it deep. He has been selling drugs for like 20 years. It is pretty intense. He started crying and wanted to change his life. We couldn’t really teach him though at the time because he was full on drunk. It should be interesting.

Oh and R_____ came to church!!!! It was super cool. He finally told us in a lesson that he feels like he is ready to come to church. It was awesome. I think he enjoyed it. He had to leave right after sacrament meeting so we weren’t able to talk to much to him. But it was pretty great. He is finally making some progress in his life.

This week has great… I am loving this area and the people I am teaching. It is awesome.

I love y’all and hope ya have a great week!
