Letter #65: Wait, it’s March????

Woah… I just had a weird moment where I looked at the date and it just hit me that it is March. haha that was weird. But anyways…

This week was awesome. It flew by, in fact this transfer flew by. It is already the end of a transfer. I found out that I am staying in Bellflower and my companion is going to go to Long Beach.

This week we got down to business to finish out the transfer with an amazing week. We were working with an investigator named I_______ who we found a couple weeks ago and he is so cool! He is in his 50’s or 60’s and is partially blind. But he is super humble. He likes to walk and just walks pretty much all day so it is kinda hard to find him home. We have be reading the Book of Mormon with him because he can’t read. (We are going to try to get it on CD so that he could listen to it.) He loves when we read with him. He can see the difference that reading the scriptures makes and wants us to keep coming over. It has made me realize the importance of daily scripture study, how something so simple can change the entire day.

We invited him to church and he told us that he didn’t have a ride but he would walk! That is amazing faith! We were able to get him a ride so that he didn’t have to walk. He loved it and wants to keep coming back! It was awesome.

I have really gained a testimony of the simple things. That is how God works. Little by little. Small changes that eventually bring about a big change. As we choose to pray every morning or night, or read the scriptures every day, or do a little act of service, that is how we gain a testimony. God always gives us just enough to take one step forward, and when we take that step another one appears. If we ever get lost in life, go back to the basics. Once you do that, God WILL show you where to go, or what to do. It works. For me, for you, for investigators, for less-active members, for everyone.

I love all of you and will continue to pray for all of you. 😉
