Letter #75: I’m Back!!!

Wow I don’t even know where to begin… I am sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited to be back… You guys have no idea. Life as a missionary is just so much more fulfilling. We have worked really hard. I am back with Elder Rodriguez in my same area and boy this area has changed. They have picked up this new girl named S______ who is 17 years old and just had a child. She is super cool. They set a baptismal date with her just last week and she told us that she doesn’t care if we are prophets or missionaries or whatever but she has felt something when we talk and she said she knows that what we are saying is true because of that. She is super solid.

My first day back we went straight from the airport to a district meeting and then we had a busy afternoon. We spent most of it moving the other two elders who were with Elder Rodriguez back to there own apartment and moving me back in. But that night we taught S______ and this less-active family and had a super solid lesson with them. It was such as satisfying night. I slept soooooo well.

Then on Friday I got to see I_______ and man that guy is amazing. He is doing so well. He was baptized the week after I left and he loves being a member. He rides his bike to church every Sunday. It is so cool. I just feel soooooo happy whenever I am around him.

We found this cool guy named F_________when we were knocking and Elder Rodriguez had the impression to share his mothers conversion story (mormon message called: Jesus Christ is the Way) and this guy invited us in and we watched the video and he told us that he was into drugs and really wanted to get out but he didn’t know how. We promised him that through Christ all things are possible. It was a really cool experience especially because Elder Rodriguez saw that guy last week and had the impression to talk to him and something happened so that he couldn’t and so Elder Rodriguez was praying that we could find him again and we were able to. It was an awesome experience.

Then on Saturday night we had a member with us and had a set appointment with an investigator and that lesson fell through and all the people who we went to were not there, everything was just falling through so we decided to say a prayer with the member and we said it and a name came to my mind and we went there and this old lady answered and let us in and started asking us a ton of questions. It was really cool to see.

I feel like I have adjusted so well. I feel almost as if I never left, but I have a stronger desire to work harder than ever. Even running in the mornings haha, I used to hate it but now I just love it. Also studying in the morning is just so much better now a days… I realize now that studying the scriptures is a lot harder back home and never will I have an easier time to have spiritual experiences while reading the scriptures than I will being here in the mission field. Those hours in the morning just fly by now. I wish they were longer.

I love all of you and pray for all of you. Have a great week!!!
