Letter #80: Long Beach!

So this week has been a blast!

I had so say goodbye to so many people that I met in Bellflower and it was kinda hard because I just grew so close to all of them, members, investigators, and less-active members. I really have felt the pure love of Christ because I care for them so much and it was hard to say goodbye.

I got to my new area on Tuesday. It was actually surprisingly close to my last apartment. Literally a 5 minute drive, but boy is it different. haha. The area that I cover is the city of Paramount and a bunch of North Long Beach, and I love it already. There is so many people here and just a ton of Hispanics. It is a lot more ghetto but that just adds to the fun 🙂

My new companion is Elder Williams, he is really cool. He is from Colorado and went to UVU before the mission. He is really fun to be around and we are having a great time together. I am so pumped for this Transfer.

So here one of our best investigators is this guy named R_____. He is this old guy who had a stroke not too long ago and he was stuck inside, a member told the missionaries to pass by to talk with him and he has wanted to learn more. He is starting to recover and be able to walk and he wants to come to church. He is a really cool guy who just loves reading the Book of Mormon.

The Book of Mormon is dope! I have been studying it a lot and have seen how it is just a powerful book. I love reading it and have seen that is brings about the strongest conversion in people. I have just felt God’s love while reading it and I myself can’t stop reading it.

I love the work and love being a missionary! This church is just so true. It just makes sense. I have felt it. Thanks for the letters and the pictures. I love you all so much!
