Letter #83: Rafy

Wow, the weeks just keep flying by so fast. I just want it to slow down so I can enjoy it a bit more but no… It doesn’t listen to me.

This week we have been working really hard with our investigator Rafael and he is doing awesome. We have set a goal for him to get baptized at the end of the month, he is a little hesitant but he knows it is all true. He is really such a humble guy. He loves coming to church and loves when we come to visit him. We took him to a baptismal service on Sunday and he got really emotional and really did feel the spirit. It was awesome.

The baptism on Sunday was something special. It was this old man who is in his 60’s and has Parkinson’s disease. He is confined to a wheelchair but the missionaries have been teaching him for quite some time but he could never come to church because he was stuck at home and couldn’t leave. But finally they got permission for him to be baptized. They had to have 4 Elders in the font to help support him. The spirit was super strong, It was an amazing experience.

I don’t have much time so have a great week!!!

I love y’all so much! <3
