Letter #87: Overcast

This week has been incredible… We have seen soooooo many miracles, and have been finding so many new people to teach.

Rafael is getting super close to being baptized. We are just working with him because he is a little afraid of the change and the committment but I feel like he has a solid enough testimony that he will soon make the change. He is a good guy and has been through a lot.

We are going to try and help two of our investigators Jaime \ Vanessa to get married so they can get baptized. We will see how that goes.

Then we started teaching this new guy named Martin who is pretty cool. He is a cook at a restaurant and he immediately let us inside his house when we knocked on the door. We were able to teach an awesome first lesson that was super spiritual and he felt that spirit really strong. He was super excited to get a Book of Mormon so he could start reading it.

We also are now teaching this really cool lady who we talked to randomly on the street who told us that she believes Joseph Smith was a prophet and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. It was crazy she is sooooooooo solid. She had a friend a long time ago who was Mormon and taught her a bit about our beliefs. We went back to her house a couple days later and she told us her son died two years ago from cancer and she was kinda sad about it. We were able to testify of the Plan of Salvation and how she will be able to see her son after this life. It was really cool to see the spirit work within her and really comfort her.

I just love the mission. It is awesome how many people you meet and are able to help. I love the gospel and the message we share with people. The hope and comfort it brings to our life when we recognize that God really does love us. That is the reason behind everything in this gospel, that God is our father and he loves us.

I hope y’all have a great week!
