Letter #32: Rain!

IT RAINED THIS WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week has been a great week. I love being a missionary and love meeting people. It is such a neat opportunity to talk with all the people that we meet everyday. It is crazy how different every person really is. Everybody has a unique perspective and has experienced different things and learned different things and you can learn so much from all of them. It is really cool.

So this past week we got to go on exchanges with the zone leaders. It was crazy because I stayed in my area with the zone leader who knew no Spanish. I was soooo nervous because I had to do all the teaching and stuff…. It was pretty hard but we were able to survive. Crazy. We had a fun time. His name is Elder Chase and he is from Colorado and we just talked about soccer the entire time. He is a really cool guy!

We had this really cool specialized finding training teaching us different skills to help teach us how to better find new investigators. I am excited this week to go out and find a bunch of new people to teach.

Maria is doing pretty good! She didn’t come to church because she got really really sick. So keep her in your prayers. We are starting to teach her all the commandments like tithing and the word of wisdom and stuff like that. She is pretty open to all of it. She is awesome.

We have made some progress with R_____ he has finally said that he wants to come to church but the only problem is that his wife doesn’t like us and on Sundays he has to watch his grandson (who is like 5 or 6) and his wife and his daughter don’t want the grandson to go to church… It is a bit frustrating.

We had a funny experience where we stopped by one of our investigators. And his 9 year old daughter was giving him a haircut and she told us she had no idea what she was doing so my companion knew a little bit about how to cut hair and so he started cutting his hair and I was sitting with his wife trying to make small talk in Spanish… Most of my vocabulary is made up of gospel terms and stuff so I ran out of things to talk about quick so I just turned to her and asked if I could share a scripture so we read and talked about it while my companion was giving Sergio a haircut. It was super cool.

Well That’s pretty much it… Sorry if my letters sound the same each week… It feels as if I type the same stuff each week haha. I love all you guys!

Elder Bryce
