Letter #12: HEY!!!!!

Another week down! Time just flies by so quickly… It is so crazy!!

This week has been quite interesting. We got our car from the shop last Monday and then we received news that we have to give it to a pair of English Elders because they just got in a bike crash and one has a broken arm. We were fine with that but on Tuesday when we were at the mission office picking up some supplies the nurse started talking to us and when she found out that we don’t have a car she freaked out. She went over to the AP’s and demanded that they give me a car for my diabetes. It was kinda funny how she reacted. haha. She is super nice but I wouldn’t want to make her angry. haha. So now we have a car again! 🙂

We met so many crazy people on the streets the last couple days… We met this “Jewish” guy who was from Israel but he spoke Spanish and he said he was Jewish but when we started to talk to him he started going off on how a street post is actually God. He was straight up crazy. It is funny how many people try to come up to us and teach us what they believe. I have realized that when someone comes and starts talking like that, we are going to get nowhere with them.

We have been really trying to reactive a lot of members in our branch and it has been working! We were able to help an older lady to come back to church, as well as an entire family, and are currently working with another family’s kids who are all less-active. It is quite great when they show up at church!

We have a bunch of investigators who we love talking to and they love listening to us but when ask them to do something, like read the scriptures, come to church, pray on their own, they don’t do anything. It is frustrating how they just don’t want to change. But I know we have to keep working with them and we can’t give up on them.

My companion and I have been getting along great. He is a great trainer and I am learning a lot from him. His Spanish is fantastic because he has had a lot of Latino companions. He also has a great testimony and is a great teacher in lessons. We have so much in common and have similar senses of humor. We have a great time.

This gospel is great and I love sharing it!!!

With love,

Elder Bryce
