Letter #92: Transfer Week!

Sorry about the short letter last week. We had to celebrate Columbus day… haha. One of my favorite holidays!

So this week was Transfers, Elder Harward and I are staying together for my last transfer. I am so excited, I feel like we are going to have a lot of success these next couple weeks.

So we found this guy named Thomas last week and he is so cool. He is just one of those golden investigators. He is 23 and he is staying with his aunt right now who is a less-active member. He was really looking for God and a sense of direction. We taught him about the restoration and gave him a Book of Mormon and when we came back on the second time we asked him if he had read and he said “Sorry I didn’t read that much just the first 10 chapters.” that is 10 more chapters than most people read when we give them a book of Mormon haha. He said when he picked up the Book he felt God had told him that this was the path that he should go and that the Book of Mormon is true. He is excited to get baptized and came to church and just loves it. He is super cool!

Funny story:

We were out looking for people to teach and we went by this guy who we talked to on the street a couple days earlier and he let us into his house. We were able to sit down and talk with him. It was a pretty good lesson until his 6 year old son ran into the room naked with an ipad and just ran around the room blasting music. His dad acted like it was totally normal haha. It was so weird because he would just run right into the walls and the screen door, and was butt-naked. It wasn’t the most spirit-conducing environment. haha.

Long Beach is just filled with the strangest of people…

I love you all and hope you have a great week!
