Letter #13: Sup!!

Monday, March 9, 2015

Hey!!!!

It is crazy how fast time flies here. I don’t understand… haha

This week we had some crazy experiences! We went down near the beach last p-day to get some pictures by the beach when we were trying to leave our car wouldn’t start. It was super weird, we then tried to jump start our car, and that didn’t work. It was super strange We had to get a tow truck to come pick us up and they said it would take two hours for them to get there. This is after we have taken 30 minutes to try to start the car. Then after an hour the car just magically started and we took it into the shop and they examined it for a day and could not find anything wrong with it. It just straight up didn’t work for an hour and a half. That took up a lot of our p-day last week.

We have met a lot of interesting people this week. We met this guy named R_______ who we started talking to on his front porch/lawn. We had an interesting conversation with him, and then he started rambling about stuff about the ark of the covenant. It was super strange, he then asked us why there isn’t prophets on the earth today and why they don’t talk to the people and give them more teachings like in the Bible. We told him about General Conference that is coming up and he was super excited!

Also, I would highly recommend to everyone that they try Red Velvet PopTarts… They are the best thing I have ever had. Make sure that they are cooked, they taste better right out of the toaster.

We did find a couple of new investigators this week. We knocked on this one door and this guy immediately invited us in. He gave us a fake name at first but as we started talking to him and his wife they seemed pretty interested… They are really Catholic so it may be hard for them to give up their old ways. It is going to take a lot of work but they can do it.

I love being out here. The time we have to study every morning in the scriptures is amazing. I wish I would have read the scriptures daily before the mission. That one hour of personal study is one of my favorite.

Thanks for all the letters!!! I love them all! I hope y’all have a great week!!!

The first three pictures below were from our trip to the nearby beach. The rest were from the MTC.
