Letter #38: Krispy Kreme Cheeseburgers

Wow… It is almost September… I just about pooped my pants. Time is different out here. It goes by so fast. I totally feel like I just got here. I think it is the fact that the weather doesn’t change here so it is hard to tell time because it is just the same every day haha…

I had a crazy week. We have been teaching A______ a couple times this past week. He is super cool and really solid. He is progressing, he loves reading the Book of Mormon, he came to church twice in the pasts three weeks. He is really cool. We invited him to be baptized he said maybe, once he knows more about the church. Keep him in your prayers, I think that it just take a couple weeks and a couple more lessons before he will decide to be baptized.

We had a cool experience of going to the hospital to give a blessing to this Armenian dude. He was sharing a room with a member from one of our wards and they got talking and he called us in to give a blessing. He was this super humble guy and it was an awesome spiritual experience. His name was R__________.

So we had one of the most interesting dinners ever. This really really funny Hawaiian guy fed us and he made us Krispy Kreme Hamburgers. It was pretty dope. Just imagine: A hot and fresh glazed doughnut with a nice hamburger patty with slice of cheese and some bacon, and then another glazed doughnut to top it all off. They were surprisingly good until like four hours later when you felt all the calories and just wanted to sleep. haha. It was interesting but pretty good. I recommend them to you. (especially you Tim!!!)

krispy-kreme-cheeseburger-ftrOh and a side note, next week we are going to the Temple so you wont get a letter til Tuesday so don’t freak out…

My companion and I are doing great. We really get along together and we both are striving to work hard and we have seen the miracles come from it. It is amazing. We have been finding a ton of investigators a lot of our less active members are opening up to us. It is just awesome!!!! I love this work!

I did meet some crazy people this week… haha. It was almost like I was back in Long Beach lol. But I was on exchanges and we were in this super Hispanic area (100% Latino) and this crazy 14 year old girl with schizophrenia came up and started talking to us. She is known throughout all of the HB zone for being obsessed with missionaries. We had to change our phone number because of it. She got our phone number and called it 50-60 times a day. It is unreal. But she came up to us and then this other guy comes up and stands in-between us and her and tells us he needs to tell us something. We walk with him around the corner and he tells us her whole story and how she is crazy. Then the girl’s mom comes around the corner (she isn’t all there) and starts screaming at him and at us. The guy who we were talking to was also pretty crazy… I’m pretty sure he was on drugs hardcore. But it was just a weird experience. We were caught up in the neighborhood drama… It was weird haha. But It was a cool story haha.

Its Been Real

I love y’all

Hope ya have a great week!!!!

P.S. I totally wrecked everyone at Volleyball today đŸ˜‰

The best breakfast ever... Cocoa pebbles with a cookies and creme pop-tart crushed up into little pieces. It is what you would call Divine. :0 I'm not much of a cook but you could say that dish could give Bobby Flay a run for his money ;)
